South bound via Boston, Wisbech and Ely, passing through Lakenheath MATZ, we skirted Stansted airspace before transiting Southend zone and crossing the Thames estuary for Ashford.

Lydd to Fairoaks flight log
We routed west to the south of Gatwick airspace, then turned north for a straight run in to Fairoaks, which lies inside the Heathrow CTR.

LTFC was founded in 1931 and was the original owner of G-LTFB, having bought her new from Piper in August 1967. She stayed with the club at Fairoaks until 2003, giving 36 years of service and helping many pilots gain their flying licences.
G-LTFB parked outside the clubhouse, where she previously sat for more than 30 years.
